While the heat waves of the season may still be rolling through the Napa Valley, fall is definitely in the air. Rather you’re a fall equinox loyalist soaking up these last days of summer or pumpkin-spiced-everything enthusiast lighting your apple scented candles, we’ve got all your must-see pumpkin patches and corn mazes from valley-to-sea … and beyond.

Here is a list of our favorite festive locations that highlight family friendly activities for all ages ranging from U-pick pumpkin patches to corn and hay mazes, pig races to pumpkin contests, and more! And because we love any excuse to pack up the car and find an adventure, we’ve included some exciting events from Sacramento all the way down to Half Moon Bay - perfect for a day trip full of happy naps on the drive home.

Napa County & Sonoma County

Stanly Lane Pumpkin Patch: 3100 Golden Gate Drive, Napa. Opens September 28th, 2024. This local family-owned and ran pumpkin patch has been a decades long South Napa fixture bringing the delight of diverse pumpkin and gourd selection to our valley. Make sure you stop in to support this treasured local business this season, and say hello to Mace the pig while you’re there!

Madrona Family Farms: 2366 Madrona Ave, Saint Helena. Opens October 5th, 2024 from 11AM - 6PM. Support your wonderful community at the Madrona Family Farm’s pumpkin patch in St. Helena!

Pronzini Farms Pumpkin Patch: 3795 Adobe Rd., Petaluma. Open for the season September 28th, 2024. Attractions include live music Saturdays and Sundays, train, tractor rides, slides, jump zone and more. Visit the website here

Petaluma Pumpkin Patch: 450 Stony Point Road, Petaluma. Opens September 20, 2024. Attractions include corn maze, pony rides, slides, face painting, farm animals and more. Visit the website here

Santa Rosa Pumpkin Patch & A’mazing Corn Maze: 5157 Stony Point Road, Santa Rosa. Opens September 28, 2024. Attractions include petting zoo, games, jump zone, slides, corn maze, train, zip line and more. Visit the website here

The Farmstand at Gambonini Family Ranch: 7325 Old Lakeville Road No. 3, Petaluma. A wonderful and vast country-style field ripe with pumpkins and gourds galore. There aren’t big rides here, but there are an abundance of beautiful flowers and farm products like local honey and fresh eggs. Visit the website here

Muelrath Ranches Pumpkin Patch: 3800 Walker Avenue, Santa Rosa. Sustainably grown and pesticide-free. Attractions include toddler corn maze, hay rides, haunted dungeon, pumpkin canon and more. Visit the website here

Preston Farm and Winery: 9282 West Dry Creek Road, Healdsburg. Come pick a Jack-o-Lantern, decorate gourd, delicious butternut or dusty hued and warty squash until Halloween! No reservations necessary. The patch is opened from 10am - 4pm everyday. Visit the website here

Larson Family Winery Pumpkin Patch: 23355 Millerick Road, Sonoma. A full functioning winery and vibrant patch including pumpkins, gourds, and flint corn available for purchase. Visit the website here

PaPa’s Pumpkin Patch: 13110 Occidental Road, Sebastopol. Opens September 10, 2024. Pick your pumpkin straight from the vine at this family run patch nestled beneath the redwoods. Visit the website here

Grandma’s Pumpkin Patch: 17740 Healdsburg Avenue, Healdsburg. A tradition for 18 years boasting a huge selection of pumpkins, as well as featuring a petting zoo, farm animals, hay stack and Handmade With Love: a unique country boutique offering hand crafted goods and wares.
